About the Artist
Luna Enriquez is an Indigenous (Pomo/Wailaki) multimedia artist and licensed tattoo artist from Northern California, living and working in Portland, Oregon. Her art is influenced by the Dada movement, Indigenous Futurism, DIY punk art, advertising, and propaganda. Fascinated with image appropriation and recontextualization, her work blurs the line between the familiar and the bizarre. She pulls inspiration from the used or discarded, moving between 2D and 3D forms with an emphasis on craft. Luna enjoys combining vivid color palettes with stark desaturation in her “fine art” practice as well as her tattoos.
